The SIGNUM group
Our company’s position in European industry is unquestionably significant. History of SIGNUM
NFS Cink is part of the SIGNUM group. These are the milestones that took it from a single plant in Moravský Písek to twelve sites across Europe.
- 19911991
On 26 April 1991 SIGNUM spol. s r.o. was entered in the commercial register. Construction of the hot-dip galvanizing plant in Moravský Písek had already begun in 1990; it became one of the first private galvanizing plants in the Czech Republic.
- 19931993
Galvanizing starts in Moravský Písek in April. Demand for the service is high and soon allows us to begin building a second plant, this time in Hustopeče near Brno.
- 19961996
The Hustopeče plant is put into operation.
- 19981998
The plant in Deštná near Jindřichův Hradec opens. In Hustopeče we commission a centrifugal line for hot-dip galvanizing.
- 20032003
Acquisition of the former Mostárna Hustopeče a. s. building. After an extensive rebuild and modernisation we start manufacturing steel structures.
- 20042004
We open the plant in České Budějovice. With our largest kettle, 12 × 1.8 × 3.5 m, it lets us galvanize larger structures.
- 20062006
Acquisition of the galvanizing plant in Prievidza.
- 20072007
Our sites expand with the galvanizing plant in Humenné.
- 20082008
In December we take over the plant in Prostějov.
- 20092009
The Adriacink galvanizing plant is founded in Split, Croatia.
- 20162016
Elektrovod Slovakia becomes the successor of Elektrovod Žilina. The Prievidza and Humenné plants pass to ELV Slovakia, and the Žilina plant — until then used only for Elektrovod’s own products — opens to customers.
- 20172017
We extend the network with the Bezdružice plant, currently our most modern, rebuilt extensively in 2020 and 2021.
- 20202020
We buy the NFS Cink galvanizing plant in Dugo Selo, Croatia.
- 20242024
Acquisition of the plant in Plzeň — our 7th galvanizing plant in the Czech Republic and 12th in Europe. The same year, NFS CINK d.o.o. and ADRIACINK d.o.o. merge.
